GUTSY WOMEN DON’T STOP FIGHTING UNTIL ALL CITIZENS ARE TREATED WITH CARE AND RESPECT!
“Even before the pandemic, I observed the (Southeastrans) service getting worse over time - not better… I'm on a first name basis with the governor's office, so I’ve been trying to work within this system. The problem is, this system is so broken that it needs to be replaced. And I honestly do not have faith in Eric Holcomb to do that. When I saw that Southeastrans was not making the changes they needed to make to serve my clients, I tried everything I could think of to fight for them. I talked to Chris May, Eric Koch, and Steve May, but the problems persisted.”
“If I’m going to have harm done to my health, let it be because of my mistake, because I was late, not because of something that the state and my insurance provided for me has repeatedly failed me. I was fed up with having to explain why I didn’t get to my appointment…And I feel like 'I’m one of the lucky ones! I’m still on the organ donor list, I’m still alive, and there are others who have been laid up in a hospital or dead because they missed an important appointment.”
“As a nursing home administrator, I can testify to how awful this is! There were many times that residents were not picked up and missed incredibly important appointments. Or the driver would come in cans with duct taped bumpers, or mirrors, or doors that didn’t work properly! And you have no other choice but to use Southeastrans.”
“We had a horrible experience with my brother Patrick Hasenour . We were taken to and from Evansville. Different drivers and one gave us a phone number to call which was against rules we later learned . They not only took us to the wrong place but didn’t pick us back up after numerous calls . The eye center we were at paid to have an Uber take us to the right eye center . God Bless them !! But then when I called the number to get us home I thought the hell was over . It was a Van but this guy kept eyeing my purse ( I thought was weird ). He wanted my brother to sit up front but he declined . He acted Godly as the other Guy did ! Then when we came back to Jasper ( where my brother was living then ) he commented on all the fancy homes around there . He lived in Section 8 housing apartments. They are fairly nice but we don’t live in those fancy houses . Then he demanded 150 dollars from us. He wouldn’t leave until I threatened to call the police. After numerous explanations from them which made no sense when I called they finally said it was paid for !! I called 2 weeks ahead and I called the day before to verify the appointment. Plus the guy was late picking us up!”
“My mother has had bad experiences with them.”
“This place is a freaking joke! The missed appointments for my mom due to no driver, even though you have to tell them about the appointment 2 weeks in advance. The lateness if you do get one. And having to wait hours to get picked back up again! Not to mention rude and scary drivers! Fortunately my mom is down into a regular manual wheelchair now from a full electric, so I can actually fold it up and put it in my trunk and take her to her Dr apointments myself. She had a liver transplant back in 2016 and has other conditions that cause severe chronic pain, so she HAS to be able to get to whatever appointment the post transplant specialist and Pain management clinic gives her. And I don't have the time or energy at the moment to go into how huge of a burden it is for medicaid patients that need a pain management specialist!”
“This crap happened under Mitch Daniels’ reign and it was a disaster. WHY DO IT AGAIN??!”
"This is horrible. My mom was on dialysis for the last 7 years of her life. This is another reason Holcomb and the whole Republican party needs to go!”
“Management is awful. To have no training when it comes to logistics or anything to do with transportation - very terrible company,”
Former dispatcher from Atlanta
“They need new management! The other employees are ok to work with. Management and Human Resources all need to be replaced with new and knowledgeable people. They do not care about the members.”
“I would not recommend this company. They only care about the money. They want you to lie to the members by telling them what they want to hear. Southeastrans needs to be investigated for neglecting Medicaid members and not providing transportation after they have booked their appointments a month in advance.”
